Remote work, your geography is not important. But if you are based in London or nearby, that would be an advantage. Age, gender, religion and other views do not matter.

1. PR Manager

PR manager will work with the press and produce content for the press, including publications and special projects. We need a person who can work dynamically and creatively.

We are looking for someone who:

– Understands that PR is not just about sending out press releases
– Has good professional relationships with representatives of a wide variety of media, from business and finance to lifestyle media
– Is not afraid of creative solutions in PR and knows how to implement them
– Writes with high quality
– Has higher education (not necessarily journalistic);
– Is able to work in conjunction with the marketing and content teams of the company

2. Scientific Advisor

Scientific Advisor will be responsible for research and development. He will provide his knowledge and expertise in science and help to create content that is relevant and up-to-date.

We are looking for someone who:

– Has a solid scientific background (Master’s degree in science and work experience are mandatory)
– Is able to appraise scientific data critically
– Can lead a coordinated work with the rest of the team

3. Editor-in-Chief

Editor-in-Cheif will be managing a team of content-makers, writers and researchers. He will approve publications and evaluate and edit content.

We are looking for someone who:

– Has experience in science journalism
– Has already worked on a similar position
– Is attentive to details
– Has Master’s in journalism or adjacent field

4. Content Writer

Content writer will write informative and engaging articles and also produce content of different formats on scientific topics.

We are looking for someone who:

– Has experience in science journalism
– Knows how to make science interesting, not simple
– Is genuinely interested science & technology
– Knows how to write to capture audience’s interest

5. Community manager

We are looking for someone who:

– Knows how to write engaging posts for social networks and newsletters, and does it quickly and easily
– Know what UGC is and how to work with it
– Understands how social networks work and understands what formats and topics will interest the audience the most
– Understands the difference between the audience and the community and knows how to move a user from the first group to the second

6. Front-end programmer

We need a software engineer with experience in front-end development on the vue.js / nuxt.js stack, with an understanding of front-end build processes, SSR, layout, modularity, interaction with the back-end.

We are looking for someone who knows how to:

– Productively work in a team
– Work with backlog
– Adequately estimate the time for each task
– Write code that is clear and understandable
– Justify the adopted architectural decisions

7. Account Manager

Account manager will communicate with partners during the implementation of special projects and build long-term relationships with partners, by improving customer experience.

We are looking for someone who will:

– Understand the communication tasks of marketing, PR and brand management
– Analyze statistics of communication projects
– Negotiate at different levels of organizations
– Manage documentation
– Coordinate the team

8. Back-end programmer

We need a software engineer with PHP/Symfony, PostgreSQL development experience. Understanding of the current processes of backend development, PSR, modularity, building API, interaction with the frontend is a must.

We are looking for someone who knows how to:

– Productively work in a team
– Work with backlog
– Adequately estimate the time for each task
– Write code that is clear and understandable
– Justify the adopted architectural decisions

9. Volunteer for us!

Do you like Serious Science? Do you feel excited about learning and communicating knowledge to a broader audience? Have you ever thought of becoming a part of an international team?

Serious Science is looking for volunteers. If you are currently enrolled as a student at a university anywhere in the world or work in academia, and if you are fully proficient in the English language, we need your help! Become a creative and productive member of our team: you will propose topics for our articles and videos, interview scholars, recommend new experts and promote our ideals around the world.

We are also offering a full-time internship at our office in Moscow this summer. During these 4 weeks you will discover how a popular non-profit media platform works, learn about our editorial standards, try yourself in every format of our website, and communicate with the world’s top scholars and scientists on a daily basis.
